At one time, NDOT management opposed the bill but I do not know their current stance. The Vision Zero Committee is supportive and they were appointed by NDOT.

I have supported bike share for many years with uneven results.
- Nashville has about 300 bikes available, and
- Other cities, like Austin or Denver, have a thousand or more. Seattle has over 2,500!
BCycle is still operating with about 250 units and Bird, Spin and Lime are contracted for 250 but NDOT has only allowed 75. This will supposedly increase after the Downtown Connect study is finished if that ever happens (sarcasm alert).
The Transportation Licensing Commission approved a one year extension for Bird, Lime and Spin at their last meeting. The contractual status of BCycle is unclear to me although they will presumably continue to operate in Nashville.
The current Mayoral administration killed BPAC, mishandled bike share in parks, and is not really committed to micro-mobility although we do have 1,800 electric scooters. Good riddance.
